Kansas
Charles Leslie Gilchrist was born in Wichita Kansas on June 17, 1940 at 12:04 PM. He showed marked artistic talents at a very early age, drawing and painting constantly. His artistic career really began at the age of four, as he was already convinced of his life's path.His formal art education began at the age of 11 (1951). He was the youngest student ever taken by Genevieve Ingram Frickle, a well known portrait and landscape painter, living, working and teaching in Wichita. She developed his natural drawing talent and taught him to see as an artist.
Illinois
In 1954, the family moved to the Chicago area (Park Forest, Illinois) and Charles graduated from Rich Township High School in 1958.
Wisconsin
He attended Beloit College (Beloit, Wisconsin) for two years as a Fine Arts major.
Chicago
He returned to Chicago where, for the next two years, Charles supported himself as a Truck Mechanic. His serious pursuit became the building and driving of race cars; Drag Racing Cars, Go Karts and Sprint Cars. He was instantly successfully, competitive on a national basis, and was being courted to turn professional with an offer of a hot Sprint Car ride (USAC Midget). But the deeper dream of making art returned.
The Cleveland Institute Of Art
Charles then left his success as an engine builder and driver relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. He enrolled at the "Cleveland Institute Of Art," was accepted, and studied there for two years.
Photography
Mary Margaret Morris (Chicago girl) and Charles were married in 1962. His first job as a professional artist (1963) involved the silk screen business where he began by hand cutting photo stencils. The photographic aspects of the silk screen business fascinated Charles and after a few years of study he changed his profession to photography. Now with two children (Shawn and Lisa) he spent the rest of the 60's perfecting various levels of Portrait Photography.

Commercial Photography
In 1970 Charles switched to Commercial Photography, taking a severe pay cut to work in the dark room of a well known commercial catalog house. His talent showed and quickly began to shoot professional images, both on location and in the studio. He also began drawing and painting again. Mary and Charles' second son Charles Patrick, was born in 1971.During the late 60's mid 70's, Charles worked on the side as a professional racing photographer and made thousands of fantastic racing images. He is still involved with racing and sports photography.
Return to The Cleveland Institute Of Art
In 1972, Charles reentered the Cleveland Institute Of Art and, while working full time as a commercial photographer by day, graduated from the night school program (1977) majoring in Intaglio print making. Through his studies, Charles discovered the classical concepts of open-eyed meditation and began to create Mandalas as a path to self discovery.

In 1978, Charles formed his own commercial photography business (Gilchrist Photography) located in an old warehouse building.
May Company
In 1980, Charles closed this studio and dissolved "Gilchrist Photography" in order to take a senior executive position with the May Company. He was in charge of the in-house photography studio which produced hundreds of fashion and hard line catalogs, and thousands of newspaper ads). While working for the May Company, Charles developed his own personal studio, a loft located on the top floor of the Bradley Building (Cleveland Warehouse District).
G Plus Studios
In 1982, Charles ended this position with the May Company in order to form a new business (G Plus Studios). Charles designed G Plus Studios to support a more serious pursuit of his personal creative work which he had been avidly pursuing from the beginning. During the 80's, he worked in numerous media including Photography, Graphic Design, Print Making. Drawing, Mixed Media and Painting.

In 1989, Gilchrist dissolved "G Plus Studios," and relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico, pursuing a full time "Fine Arts" career in the South West. While working and living there, four local galleries combined to sell about 3 dozen Gilchrist acrylic paintings (Mandalas) but family and financial problems forced changes.

In 1991, Charles briefly relocated to the gulf coast of Florida and then moved back to Cleveland, Ohio where he met Pamela Dickens.

Medina
In 1995, Charles married his third wife, Pamela and relocated to an old farm in Medina, Ohio (their hermitage). In the late 90's, Pam contracted breast cancer and passed away April 7th, 2000. This was a tragic loss for us all. Pamela Gilchrist was a gifted and well known professional Astrologer with over 2000 clients nation wide.
Cleveland
Charles (now back in Cleveland) continues to produce volumes of work in mutable media including Mandalas and photography. He is collected by numerous patrons. One of his most extraordinary commissions (1996) was for a group of 48 paintings (Mandalas based on sacred geometric icons) which are hung in the new headquarters building of the company "Corporate Express," located in Broomfield, Colorado.

Film Making
In 2001, Charles became interested in producing and editing documentary film and video, working with Kevin P. Miller. Mr. Miler is an award wining writer producer with numerous film credits including "Let Truth Be The Bias," "We become Silent," and his new film. "Generation RX". Charles was the associate producer/editor on We Become Silent and Generation RX.

Charles has recently begun a new Lecture-Workshop series, each including a limited edition booklet holding numerous Gilchrist Mandalas and graphic works, many never before published in any form. The first Workshop of the series is entitled, Sacred Geometry and The Traditional Oracular Systems. His teaching is both entertaining and informative.

| Dale C. Brown is the founder of The Detroit Threat Management Center located in Detroit. Commander Brown created Eclectikan survival tactical training systems in 1993.This training system is comprised of tactical psychology, tactical law and tactical skills, to teach communities and corporations how to properly manage human threats and create non-violent outcomes. In 1995, on the eastside of Detroit, Commander Brown officially formed the V.I.P.E.R.S. (Violence Intervention Protective Emergency Response System). A bodyguard tactical training program that emphasizes the importance of mission motivated altruistic community service. The organization became known for helping the community, by stopping home invasions and murders that had been a problem for many years prior. This resulted in a good quality of life for the residents who lived in the community. The byproduct of which meant that the building owners went into the black for the first time in twenty years and the police department received accolades for a 90% reduction in violent crime and 911 calls. In 1997, the Survival Scouts Program was created to teach youth urban survival skills and proper work ethic. Youths, ages 4 to 17, were taught Basic Self-Defense, Gunfire Evasion, Basic First Aid, Conflict Avoidance, Personal Discipline, Threat Awareness, and Problem Solving. In 1998, Commander Brown stopped hijackings of delivery trucks for a $250 million dollar company operating in Detroit. This company experienced injured workers and substantial financial losses despite federal, state and local law enforcement efforts to stop these crimes. As a direct result of Dale C. Brown’s V.I.P.E.R.S. strategic tactical system, this company is now a 300 million dollar company and remains a current client. In 2005 Commander Brown’s V.I.P.E.R.S. Program mounted a volunteer rescue mission during the first weekend of the storm to assist families who were Hurricane Katrina victims. The Threat Management Center C.E.R.T. Unit worked with law enforcement in New Orleans and deployed with U.S. Army Airborne assigned to the U.S. Navy Destroyer Tortuga. The rescue operations were conducted throughout the flooded New Orleans area. This same year, the Oakland County Prosecutors office awarded Dale Brown and the Detroit Treat Management Center an award for helping stalking victims. In 2006, Dale C. Brown opened The Threat Management Center located in Detroit and began offering classes to the public as well as law enforcement officers for free. This same year, The Detroit Threat Management Center began its maritime nautical rescues assisting private boat owners in distress in the waterways bordering the U.S and Canada. In 2007, Channel 2 Fox News interviewed and reported about the community service that Dale and the Detroit Threat Management Center provides stalking victims and domestic abuse victims. The Detroit Threat Management Center has been featured on both Fox 2 News and Channel 4 Detroit News, as recently as March 2011. In 2011, The Detroit Threat Management Center was featured in the Detroit Institute of Arts for promoting non-violent positive outcomes and helping ordinary Detroit citizens empower themselves against violent predators. This same year, The Detroit Threat Management Center was featured on Fox 2 News for reuniting a 2 year old child with her mother. The child was taken from Arizona and brought to Detroit against the mothers will. The Detroit Threat Management Center reunited the 2 year old child with her mother without any violence. The Detroit Threat Management Center has been assisting the local domestic violence shelters in reuniting the children with their parents, as recently as November 2013. In 2012, The Detroit Threat Management Center teamed up with the Detroit Branch of the NAACP for an important and potentially lifesaving training session for youths that was borne out of the Trayvon Martin tragedy. As part of its Fight for Freedom weekend event program, the NAACP conducted “Cops & Stops,” a two-hour interactive session at Cobo Center that aimed to prevent deadly street encounters like the one that took Martin's life after a street encounter with David Zimmerman, who has since been acquitted of murder charges. The purpose of the scenarios was to demonstrate the right and wrong ways to interact with law enforcement officials, neighborhood watch members or overzealous armed citizens. This same year, Commander Dale Brown and The Detroit Threat Management Center on February 28th received an award from Kenneth Cockrel and The Detroit City Council for providing community service, protecting and sheltering of the domestic violence victims in the city of Detroit and Wayne County. In 2013, Commander Brown and The Threat Management Center received certification from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in Weapons of Mass Destruction Tactical Operations. Since 2004 Commander Brown and The Threat Management Center V.I.P.E.R.S. Program have been assisting the Detroit Police department and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in active shooter and anti-terrorism training. The Threat Management Center has successfully developed tactics, strategies, and logistics to deter, detect and defend corporations and communities from both internal and external sources of violence using primarily non-violent methods. The success of this community-based organization has evolved to include high level corporate facilitation. Corporations discovered the success and discipline of the personnel within the organization and have retained the Threat Management Center for training workshops and referral of protective service professionals. In this episode we welcome special guest Dr Rick Strassman to the show. Rick Strassman MD performed the first new human studies with psychedelic drugs in the US in over 20 years. His research involved the powerful naturally-occurring compound, DMT – N,N-dimethyltryptamine. Led to this substance through his earlier study of the pineal gland as a potential biological locus for spiritual experiences, he administered several hundred doses of DMT to approximately 60 volunteers between 1990 and 1995. He wrote about this research in the popular book, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, which has sold over 100,000 copies, has been translated into 12 languages, and is now available as an audio-book. It also inspired an independent documentary by the same name, picked up by Warner Bros distributing in Fall, 2011. With three distinguished collaborators, he co-authored Inner Paths to Outer Space, which looks more carefully at the common "other worlds" experience that volunteers frequently reported during his research.
Since 1996, Dr. Strassman has been exploring models for the DMT effect focusing primarily on the Old Testament concept of prophecy. Prophecy is a spiritual experience which takes into account the apparently external, free-standing nature of the DMT "worlds," in which one's sense of self is highly preserved and interactive. The Old Testament concept of prophecy provides an alternative to other models that borrow more heavily from Eastern religious systems, and those of Latin American shamanism.
Dr Strassman has just completed his recent work DMT and the Soul of Prophecy where he tackles the major unresolved issue with which he was left after finishing his DMT project nearly 20 years ago. This was to find a model that fit the data from the volunteers’ reports of the drug state. This ultimately led him to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) where the notion of a “prophetic state of consciousness” began taking shape. At the same time, in order to make sense of the Hebrew Bible, he turned to the classic medieval Jewish philosophers like Maimonides, who proposed rather sophisticated metaphysical/spiritual mechanisms for the prophetic experience. Thus, to the extent that the prophetic and DMT states resembled each other, Dr Strassman could propose metaphysical and spiritual mechanisms in common in addition to shared biological mechanisms.
